The ruling All Progressive Congress’ hold on select members of the party seem to be tottering.
This is coming on the revelations that some party stalwarts paid Fani Kayode, Abati and Obanikoro a visit in EFCC’s custody.
A source privy to the secret visit named a prominent politician from Adamawa who nurses a presidential ambition.
It is reported that he visited alongside Fayose and Rauf Aregbesola.
Angry at the development, APC is said to have convened a meeting some days ago.
Bola Tinubu reportedly absented himself from the meeting stating that he needed medical attention in a Chicago hospital.
“The party, from the look of things, lack direction and any individual or group that lacks direction will collapse.
“What is happening in Nigeria today is that the anti-corruption struggle has been lost long ago by President Buhari.
“People are looking at the anti-corruption campaign from two angles,” said one political activist, Oladiran Ajetumobi.
In the next general election, there would be a realignment of forces.
Some political observers believe that the process of realignment is what we are seeing now in terms of the visit.
Don’t be surprised if those presently on trial become leaders of political parties that would soon be formed.
The APC is the same as the PDP. It is the same wine, the bottle was just changed.

Reacting to the visit, Barrister Taiwo Akinlami said “The visit shows that the APC’s fight against corruption is not different from what we saw in PDP.
“The two parties are one and the same in character, content, ideology, strategy and principle.
“Very soon a new political party will emerge.
“This might include the likes of Fayose, Tinubu, Saraki, Fani Kayode, Ibori, Aregbesola, Oni, Atiku, Oke, etc. with a faction from PDP.”
