How Miyetti-Allah Chairman was [neutralized] in Kogi

The chairman of Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Kogi State, MACAN, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar is no more.

Abubakar popularly known as Jalido, was [neutralized] by unknown gunmen in his house at Peace community in Lokoja.

Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Commissioner, Abdullahi Chafe, said the command is hunting for the assailants.

Reacting to the brutal [neutralization] Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, condemned the act perpetrated against Jalido.

In a statement issued yesterday through his Chief Press Secretary, Petra Akinti Onyegbule, the governor promised that his government was already working with security agencies to unravel the incident.

“Bello is appealing that the prevailing calm in the wake of the unfortunate crime be sustained.

“He strongly discourage extrajudicial reaction from any quarters.

“I received with sadness, the demise of Abubakar today.

On behalf of the good people of Kogi State, I express my condolences to the Wuro Miyetti-Allah Association over the dastardly act which claimed the life of Abubakar.

“As painful as this must be, I enjoin all to be calm.

“The government is already working with security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous crime as soon as possible.

“When caught, they will be made to face the consequences of their cowardly actions.

“May Almighty Allah grant Abubakar Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he said.

The governor also noted that it was important that all forms of crime does not go unpunished.

This way, “All and sundry will know that such will not be tolerated in Kogi State under his watch.”
