Money spinning for Youth Corps members

The allowances of youth corps members serving in sokoto state has been increased, with a promise to begin the immediate payment of this new rate.

This announcement came at the swearing-in ceremony of 2016 Batch A stream II corps members by the Governor Aminu Tambuwal, at the state NYSC orientation camp in Wamakko town.

He said, the state government appreciated the services of corps members and the government would continue to make their welfare a top priority.

Governor Tambuwal went further to say that the increase affected all categories of youth corps members, while graduates of major health courses would get more.

Graduates of medicine will now be paid N50,000 , initial amount N36,000.

Pharmacists will now be paid N25,000 up, initial amount  N19,000.

Allied medicals, nurses , lab scientist etc now  N15,000 up, initial amount N9,000

In the same vein, graduates of social science and humanities will now be paid N5,000 monthly, which is an additional one thousand from the previous N4,000 they received from the state as allawee.


Mr Tambuwal however urged  the youth corps members to return governments gesture by being diligent in their areas of primary assignments and shunning all vices that will lead to the breakdown of law and order and communal harmony.
