President Buhari finally declares a stand on 2019 elections

Nigerian politicians seem riveted whenever 2019 in mentioned. President Buhari has joined their ranks.

As Nigerians awaits the delivery of change promised by All Progressive Congress, the ruling party seem to have zoomed passed us and is positioning itself for 2019.

In the thick of these politicking, President Buhari has hinted that he will may not allow the 2019 elections to hold.

You heard that right!

Whatever game APC is planning on coming up with so as to prolong their day beyond Amy 29th 2019 will be met with serious consequences.

How did we come by this conclusion? The president said so.!

President Buhari directed all security agencies to ensure the conduct of a hitch-free election in Rivers and Ondo States.

He stressed that those if elections cannot be conducted in hitch free, then Nigerians should “forget 2019.”

Buhari made the remark at a state dinner organized in his honor in Benin, the Edo state capital, as part of his two-day visit to the state.

This was contained in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Buhari said, “What happened in the last elections in Kogi, Bayelsa and Rivers State disturbs me a lot.

“I think we should go beyond these actions. Why do we [neutralize] each other? Putting tyres on people and setting them ablaze.

“I have told the law enforcement agencies, if we can’t conduct an election in one state then we should forget about 2019.”

Well, Nigerians will not forget 2019. That year will come and will exercise our constitutional rights.

Whoever is close to the President should advise him to desist from making such provocative statements.

We will never forget 2019, come what may!
