Aregbesola orders ‘commissioners’ out of official houses

Governor Rauf Aregbesola has ordered all former commissioners and other aides of the governor to vacate their official houses with immediate effect.

The former aides continued to reside at their official apartments despite the dissolution of the cabinet.

The commissioners and aides were supposed to leave office when Aregbesola completed his first term in office in 2014.

The governor is already in the 26th month of his second term in office.

He did not constitute a new cabinet or re-swear the former ones as required by law.

So former Commissioners and aides just continued to operate their offices.
