President Muhamadu Buhari has ordered the arrest, detention and interrogation of former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd).
The retired General was arrested on Tuesday night at his Maitama residence in Abuja.
The Nation gathered that the the retired General is being investigated for his alleged sponsorship of the independent People of Biafra (IPOB) agitators.
On the periphery, he is being charged for his role, whether remote or close, to the ongoing investigation of Dasukigate.
Since retiring from active service, retired General Ihejirika have been accused of various crimes including that raised by an Australian, Stephen Davis who was invited by the Federal Government to negotiate with extremist sect, Boko Haram.
