Chibok girls will be tested for HIV before FG employs them

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has said promised to give that FG will take care of the education or jobs of the freed 21 Chibok girls.

A security source told us that the Chibok girls will set about their normal lives after Doctors have tested them for HIV/AIDS.

The girls who are currently sheltered in DSS’ national headquarters will not be released until their health status is ascertained.

The source also told us that doctors, psychologists and other health professionals would also examine the girls.

The source added that, “These girls were taken away for more than two years now.

“They had lived with the criminals who thrive in drugs and all sorts of other things that are peculiar to criminals.

“These are innocent girls who didn’t prepare for what happened to them.

“We will guide them, check them and also find out their state of health.

It is reported that the girls’ parent would be allowed to visit them first. Thereafter, they would be tested for STD’s and reintegrated into the society.

Osinbajo made the promise while visiting the girls at the DSS Medical Centre, Abuja.

He said, “You can’t immediately be taken out of here because we need to be sure that you are in very good health.

“I am sure you are going to be very well taken care of.

“We have provided very good accommodation for you. You will stay and your parents will come and meet you there also.

“We are also going to see to it that everything that you require — education, employment – will be taken care of.

“The President in particular, has asked me to tell you, how excited he is.

“When you were away, he kept saying that if it were his daughter, he wouldn’t even know what to do.”
