A Federal High Court sitting in the central business district, Abuja has ordered that Governor Okpeazu of Abia State, to vacate his office with immediate effect.

The ruling came following a suit filed against him as a result of irregularities in the PDP primaries that produced him as the standard flag bearer.

The suit claimed that Ikpeazu submitted false information to his part during the primaries in 2014.

The judge who presided over the case, Justice Okon Abang, ruled today (monday) that INEC should immediately issue a certificate of return to the plaintiff, Uche Ogah.

Uche came second in the highest number of votes polled during the PDP primaries in 2014.

It is believed that Governor Ikpeazu will appeal the case.
