Five days after his club lost 43-0 to a local, German Goal keeper Marco Kwiotek, showed up for training with his team mates.
Armed policemen came there and took him away from the field.
The 25 year keeper is suspected to be contributory to his team’s (SV Vonderort) defeat by local rivals, PSV Oberhausen.
But the reason the useless goalie was nicked remained a mystery last night as his team-mates prepared for their next match without him.
Since his Kwiotek’s arrest, He has not been seen since and the police have refused to comment on why he was taken into custody.
Kwiotek was quoted to have said: “The result of the last match was hard to take. I don’t want to see that happen again.”
Vonderort’s coach, Yvonne Liesenfeld – who has received 500 messages of support on Facebook since her team’s thrashing – said: “I don’t know what is going on with the police.
“First he lets in 43 goals and then he gets taken away by the law.”
Christian Schröer, club managing director, said “We are in the dark. The police won’t tell us what happened and we cannot reach Marco on his mobile.
“Hopefully he will be back for the next game.”
