How customs intercepted a truck load of weapons in Lagos

The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted a cache of weapons in Lagos State.

The weapons were loaded on a Mack truck for onward delivery to heavens to knows were.

The truck was intercepted along the Mile 2 Apapa Road containing 49 boxes of pump-action rifles.

The manifest that followed the truck stated that it carried still doors before the customs officials discovered otherwise.

The Comptroller-General of the NCS, Col. Hameed Ali, said investigations were ongoing.

Col. Ali added that some suspects had been arrested.
