Just in: Super Eagles finally gets a foreign coach

The former national coach of Burkina Faso and Niger Republic has been picked by the Nigerian Football Federation as her national coach.

The German coach, Gernot Rohr, is to arrive in Nigeria on Saturday.

Rohr will fly into Abuja on Saturday from the French capital. Thereafter, he will watch local league in Agege Stadium in Lagos State.

The match is between Ikorodu United and Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.

Gernot Rohr has also coached several clubs including Nantes, Etoile du Sahel, Nice, Ajjaccio, Young Boys and Bordeaux.

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, confirmed the development.

According to Pinnick, “We are just tying up the little details left to be handled.

“The work started quite a while ago but there was the need to wait until everything firmed up before making it public.”
