President Muhammadu Buhari has just ratified the appointment of Elias Nwalem Mbam as chairman for the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
President Buhari also ratified the appointment of Dr. (Mrs) Marilyn Amobi as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company.
The appointment was contained in a press statement released by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Elias Nwalem Mbam was on born 2 September 1958 in Nwofe-Agbaja, in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in 1984 .
He had earlier on obtained an Associate’s degree at Hartford State Technical College in the United States 1977 – 1979 .
He served as the Chairman of Enugu board for housing (1996-1998) and Chairman of the Ebonyi State board for housing (1996-1998).
He also served as Chairman of the Ebonyi Board lands (1998-1999).
He was the commissioner of public works, land, housing and transport in Ebonyi (1999-2001) and Commissioner of Public Works and Transport in Ebonyi (2001-2005).
Dr. (Mrs) Marilyn Amobi will serve for four years.
Elias and Amobi are seasoned technocrats and are expected to the turn around the fortunes of both RMAFC and NBETC.
