Ordinarily, one would think that Nigeria’s super rich churches pay their pastors a hefty sum from the accumulated tithes and offerings.
Most of these churches have multiple streams fo incomes including schools, farms, and other businesses.
The investigation now shows most of these churches pay poor wages to their spiritual staff.
A majority of the pastors engaged by these churches earn between N25,000 and N45,000 a month.
Again, their degree qualification also determines what the pastor is paid.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God
Aside from tithes and offerings, the church owns schools, one university, and Mortgage Finance Bank.
They also own radio stations, hospitals, printing presses and a host of other businesses.
Newly ordained full-time pastors with National Diplomas are currently being paid N25,000 a month.
Their counterparts with a university degree receive N35,000 as their monthly salaries.
A full-time provincial pastor is entitled to a minimum monthly salary of N85, 000. The provincial pastor is in charge of about 100 parishes or a state.
By the way, their tithes are deducted from the salaries before the salaries get to them.
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries
The salary scheme for the clerics ranges from N25,000 to N80,000 depending on the level of their deployment.
Some pastors were also supported by “benevolent church members.”
The Living Faith Church Worldwide
Newly-ordained pastor outside Lagos gets N35,000 while a new pastor in Lagos earn between N45,000 and N55,000.
An area pastor with some years of experience collects N85,000. A resident pastor (state pastor) earns N200,000 per month.

Deeper Christian Life Ministry
Deeper Life claims most of their church members work for free for the church. They rarely have full-time pastors.
The most the part-time pastors get is N5, 000 for recharge cards monthly.”
Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries
There is no salary structure for pastors of the Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries.
However, a pastor is entitled to one-tenth of whatever income that the church generates every week.
